We work with you to get your car running the way you want it to, and revise the tune to suit all of your modifications, whether simple bolt ons, turbo upgrades, or built motors.

Tuned:

If this is your first time tuning on ECUTEK, please select, No, my car is not tuned. If your car has previously been tuned on ECUTEK, your license is married to your vehicle’s ECU (Engine Control Unit) and do not need to buy another. This is not a physical license you obtain, rather a digital license that is applied to your vehicle. The ECUTEK license does not reside on your ECUTEK Bluetooth module or DESKEY. We will be able to verify the car is tuned once we begin our process. Also, your license cannot be sold or transferred. 

ECUTEK:

An ECUTEK Bluetooth module is needed for remote tuning. This module is plugged into your OBD2 port and communicates with your smartphone over Bluetooth. It will allow you to upload tune files to your car, record and send data logs, read DTC codes, and monitor numerous critical data points about your vehicle (engine oil temperature, boost pressure, charge air temperature, etc.). These modules can be purchased second-hand, and they are not locked to any specific vehicle. We do not store any information on this module. This is simply a communication bridge between the car and the ECUTEK mobile app. When purchasing a new ECUTEK module through us, you get a 1-year warranty on defective ECUTEK modules.

PC/App:

These two options are ways to flash tune files to your car. If you have been tuned before and you have used one of these options, you do not need to re-purchase. You can use your existing DESKEY or phone flash license (tied to your ECUTEK account you use to login to the ECUTEK mobile application). If this is your first time tuning with ECUTEK, we highly suggest picking phone flash as it will allow you to use your smartphone to upload tune files which is typically easier for majority of our customers.

DESKEY – This is a USB dongle that plugs into a windows-based laptop and will allow you to upload tune files to your vehicle. OSX is not supported for the ECUTEK software.

Phone Flash – ECUTEK phone flash license that is tied to your ECUTEK account you use to login to the ECUTEK mobile application. This is a one time fee and will transfer if you purchase another vehicle supported by ECUTEK (BMW, Infiniti, Subaru, Mitsubushi, etc.).

License

If your car has been tuned before on ECUTEK, you do not need to purchase another license.

 Tune Type:

OTS (OFF-THE-SHELF) is geared towards users who want to quickly flash their vehicle and enjoy the benefits of their newly found power. You will see substantial gains on even stock vehicles. This option does not include map switching, launch control, or additional revisions. If you are running any ethanol blends, race gas, methanol, or aftermarket turbochargers, this option will not be available to you.

Custom is geared towards users who want to maximize their car’s potential and are willing to go through several revisions. You will typically make 30 + WHP/45 + WTQ over an OTS map. Also, this will include map switching (low boost, high boost, etc.) and launch control. This is by far our most popular option with our customer base.

For custom tuning, E30 can be had with just a flex fuel kit, E85 tuning entails anything E50+ which requires an HPFP and LPFP along with a flex fuel kit.

Our policy lasts 14 days. If 14 days have gone by since your purchase, unfortunately we can’t offer you a refund or exchange.

To be eligible for a return, your item must be unused and in the same condition that you received it. It must also be in the original packaging.

Note:

* Customer must pay for the shipping to the original manufacturer.

Several types of goods are exempt from being returned. Perishable goods such as food, flowers, newspapers or magazines cannot be returned. We also do not accept products that are intimate or sanitary goods, hazardous materials, or flammable liquids or gases.

To complete your return, we require a receipt or proof of purchase.

Please do not send your purchase back to the manufacturer.

There are certain situations where only partial refunds are granted: (if applicable)

* Book with obvious signs of use

* Any item not in its original condition, is damaged or missing parts for reasons not due to our error.

* Any item that is returned more than 14 days after delivery

Refunds (if applicable)

Once your return is received and inspected, we will send you an email to notify you that we have received your returned item. We will also notify you of the approval or rejection of your refund.

If you are approved, then your refund will be processed, and a credit will automatically be applied to your credit card or original method of payment, within a certain amount of days.

Late or missing refunds (if applicable)

If you haven’t received a refund yet, first check your bank account again.

Then contact your credit card company, it may take some time before your refund is officially posted.

Next contact your bank. There is often some processing time before a refund is posted.

Exchanges

We only replace items if they are defective or damaged. If you need to exchange it for the same item, send us an email at amtuning.ca@outlook.com labelled as “Defective Item”

Gifts

If the item was marked as a gift when purchased and shipped directly to you, you’ll receive a gift credit for the value of your return. Once the returned item is received, a gift certificate will be mailed to you.

If the item wasn’t marked as a gift when purchased, or the gift giver had the order shipped to themselves to give to you later, we will send a refund to the gift giver and he will find out about your return.

Shipping

You will be responsible for paying for your own shipping costs for returning your item. Shipping costs are non-refundable. If you receive a refund, the cost of return shipping will be deducted from your refund.

Depending on where you live, the time it may take for your exchanged product to reach you, may vary.

If you are shipping an item over $75, you should consider using a trackable shipping service or purchasing shipping insurance. We don’t guarantee that we will receive your returned item.
