Product Description:
Significant effort went into developing this comprehensive performance-improving throttle body upgrade solution for the supercharged 3.0 TFSI engine found in the 4M generation of Q7. The 034Motorsport SüperDüper Charger 84mm Throttle Body System offers an easy bolt-on solution to those looking to maximize performance and flow!
The 034Motorsport SüperDüper Charger utilizes a VDO 84mm throttle body mated to a cast and machined aluminum throttle body adapter, offering a smooth transition between the larger throttle body to the supercharger inlet. Additionally, the factory accordion throttle body inlet hose is replaced with our upgraded silicone hose to enhance supercharger noise and further reduce restriction in the intake path. This results in a 39% increase in flow over the OE throttle body right out of the box. Additionally, the throttle body adapter and gasket can be port-matched to the supercharger during supercharger porting, allowing for increased airflow.
034Motorsport Dynamic+ Tuning is required to safely run this SüperDüper Charger 84mm Throttle Body System. Files to support this upgraded hardware are included with the purchase of Dynamic+ Tuning and are available for all stages and fuel octanes which we support. Simply select the file designated with SüperDüper, and you’re good to go!
Utilizing with 034Motorsport Dynamic+ Tuning:
To utilize the SüperDüper Charger 84mm Throttle Body System, you must first ensure that you are utilizing a 034Motorsport Dynamic+ Tune Stage that is compatible with an upgraded Throttle Body. For assistance or if you are unsure, please email tuning@034motorsport.com. After installation, please flash the file in your flashing portal named "SüperDüper Throttle Body File." Once you have flashed this file, you must then perform a Throttle Body Alignment utilizing 034SPI. This function can be found under Toolbox -> Engine -> Throttle Body Alignment.
Before completing, ensure the following prerequisites have been met prior to utilizing the Throttle Body Alignment:
- No Stored Faults Exist In The ECU.
- Battery Voltage Is At Least 11.5 Volts.
- Throttle Must Be In Resting/Idle Position (Do Not Press The Accel Pedal).
- Throttle Body Must Be Clean And Free Of Dirt And Carbon Deposits.
- Coolant Temp Between 5 And 95 Degrees Celsius.
Maximizing Airflow:
034Motorsport engineers first created a CFD-optimized carbon fiber intake tube, which is a direct, high-performance replacement for the plastic factory accordion/sound deadening hose. Using CAD software and 3D scanning technology, 034Motorsport was able to optimize the cross-sectional area of the intake tube while being mindful of space constraints.
The resulting part is a functional work of art - maximizing performance given the factory space constraints and featuring smooth transitions that ensure optimal airflow to the throttle body.
In testing, we found that the OEM air filter has massive flow capabilities, resulting in zero flow gains from an aftermarket air filter.
